Publsh partners with Elyzio to launch Pera Coda, an episodic murder mystery set in a captivating pre-digital Istanbul, aiming for a 2027 release on PC.

Publsh has announced a partnership with the Istanbul-based developer Elyzio for the upcoming game Pera Coda, an immersive episodic murder mystery adventure. Set in a shadowy version of Istanbul long before the digital age, this game is built to intrigue players with its unique storytelling and atmospheric execution.

Scheduled for release in 2027 for PC, Pera Coda will be published globally by Publsh, tapping into a shared vision with Elyzio. It is currently available for wishlisting on Steam. Elyzio has generated early excitement around the project, which was selected from a highly competitive pool of titles, signaling strong industry interest.

Ben Granados, CEO and co-founder of Publsh, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Pera Coda stood out to us immediately for having a voice of its own. Elyzio has created a game that is atmospheric and intriguing, with storytelling that feels fresh and compelling. We knew we wanted to work with this team and help bring their vision to players worldwide.”

Developed by Elyzio’s Falan Studio, Pera Coda distinguishes itself through its artistic vision and unconventional narrative approach. The plot centers on Deniz, a disgraced criminal defense lawyer who finds himself entangled in a murder investigation that turns much darker than anticipated, leading to a web of intrigue involving sinister underground figures and powerful businessmen.

Players will be drawn into a murky conspiracy where Deniz must confront his own troubled past while unraveling the mystery of the murder. This underscores the game’s emphasis on psychological themes as the story unfolds through exploration, investigation, and thoughtful character-driven choices.

The gameplay combines point-and-click mechanics with a narrative-rich experience, ensuring that players face significant emotional and moral dilemmas. As they examine clues and navigate through conversations, players will reveal layers of the mystery while also uncovering the events that contributed to Deniz’s downfall.

  • Step into Deniz's shoes, a man grappling with his past and burdened by the consequences of his previous decisions while he investigates a seemingly straightforward murder case.
  • Engage with an intricate psychological mystery filled with hidden secrets, branching dialogue paths, meaningful choices, and puzzles that offer various solutions.
  • Experience the haunting atmosphere of Istanbul, featuring real-world locations steeped in history, tailored to evoke a sense of place and emotion.
  • Explore vibrant, neon-lit alleys and dreamlike landscapes that serve as crucial environments where players can discover clues and symbolic storytelling elements.
  • Enjoy intuitive point-and-click controls that enhance storytelling, making complex narratives accessible and engaging.
  • Manage Deniz’s changing emotions, which will directly impact his dialogue and actions, adding depth to gameplay as players harness emotional states to achieve their objectives.
  • Personalize Deniz by selecting traits that define how he interacts with the world—be it streetwise or academic, cunning or rough-edged.
  • Utilize a unique Mental Reconstruction feature to piece together crime scenes from Deniz’s perspective, allowing players to revisit clues retrospectively and deepen their understanding of the narrative.
  • Sensory exploration will enrich gameplay, with players engaging not just visually but also through sounds and smells that evoke memories and inner turmoil.
  • Make impactful choices that affect the trajectory of the story. Every interaction can reshape relationships, create new opportunities, or close off paths.

Fasih Sayın, creative director at Elyzio, conveyed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Working with Publsh, which is genuinely invested in our vision, allows us to create Pera Coda as an experience that resonates with fans of murder mysteries and episodic storytelling alike. We can't wait to share more about Deniz’s harrowing journey.”

Pera Coda is expected to debut episodically on PC through Steam, with the initial episode slated for a 2027 release. More updates and announcements will follow as development continues.
